Registration of the 7th China Urban Housing Conference had already closed. Registration confirmation and invitation letter are gradually sent out to you by emails. Please kindly find the PDF file of the detailed conference program in download area.
Each Invited Paper presentation is allocated 30 minutes with Q&A session. Each of the rest paper presentation is about 20 minutes including Q&A. Please kindly prepare your Power Point or other digital presentation file and pass to our supporting staff when you arrived at the Registration Counter at the Conference Venue.
Each paper presenter should prepare a self-introduction for the Session Chair to introduce you, Word count should not exceed 150 words in Chinese or 80 words in English. Template is attached with this email and also available for downloading in the Conference web site Download area. Please kindly send to the Conference Secretariat by email [innovations@cuhk.edu.hk] before September 24, 2008 (Wed) NOON and indicate your paper number and the 1st author’s name on the subject line.

The conference had received 310 paper abstracts from Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and abroad this year. All the abstracts have been reviewed by the Review Panel. The academic committee has also confirmed all the judgment results. The conference secretariat would like to announce that the abstract review process of the 7th China Urban Housing Conference is now completed and the results have been posted on the “Accepted Abstracts” page. Meanwhile, all authors should have received individual abstract acceptance announcement with comments from the reviewers.
Owing to the overwhelming amount of abstract submissions, which has substantially exceeded the conference capacity, some of the abstracts received will not be invited for full paper submission. The abstract acceptance rate of this year is 48.5%.

Until now, the 7th Conference has already received around 150 abstracts from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and overseas. However, due to the system error of our Online Paper Submission System in the earlier time, some authors had difficulties in paper registration and abstract submission. In order to compensate the time lost, the Academic Committee of the 7th China Urban Housing Conference has decided to extend the due date of abstract submission to April 25, 2008. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.
For the authors who have already submitted their abstract, the Online Paper Submission System is still open for your login and modification on the abstract and relevant information during this period.
We are welcoming all colleagues, especially the young researchers and research students from all over the world to participate the conference. The 7th China Urban Housing Conference offers an open academic discussion platform for both local and overseas researchers, practitioners, officials, developers and students, who share interests in the housing development of “Green Architecture and Social Sustainability” in China and other regions. Furthermore, the conference will offer existing activities both in and after the conference main program, including student poster session, the co-event Housing Design Competition awarding ceremony and exhibition, and post-conference excursions to the nearby cultural/natural heritages and historic towns. If you have any difficulty in registering and submitting information through this System, please do not hesitate to contact the Conference Secretariat by email [innovations@cuhk.edu.hk]. Please provide all the information required by the Paper Registration (or copy all the texts on the “Paper Registration Preview” page) and email us. It will be helpful if you can also copy and send the error information you encountered during your registration. It may help us to fix the problem.
