The registration of the Sixth China Urban Housing Conference is commenced; and paper authors attending the event must complete the registration in advance in order to facilitate the editing of the Conference Proceedings. Author's registration has to be completed before March 10, 2007 (Sat). Registration for general participant due on March 17, 2007 (Sat).

Based on the agreement between the Sixth China Urban Housing Conference and the 3rd International Conference on Intelligent Green and Energy Efficient Building (IGEBC2007), the Proceedings of the Sixth China Urban Housing Conference will only be distributed to those authors and participants registered for the Sixth China Urban Housing Conference.

The Conference Secretariat of the Sixth China Urban Housing sincerely wish to send out appreciation to those author already submitted their paper. Your timely submission has helped and eased the pressure in the preparation of the event. We have pass the papers to the publisher for editing. Since our Paper Submission System was not able to accommodate large number of submission at the same time. Couple of authors has not been able to submit their papers before the deadline. Therefore, we shall extend the Paper Submission until February 11, 2007 (Sun) 23:59.

We are pleased to announce that the abstract review exercise has been completed and the list of the accepted abstract are published on the Conference [website]. We sincerely wish to take this opportunity to thank you for the support and contribution of the members of our Review Panel.

The Sixth China Urban Housing Conference has received over 250 abstracts from mainland, Hong Kong, Taiwan and overseas higher educational institutions and organizations. All paper abstracts have been through the review process and confirmed by our Panel members. Paper Abstract Notification of Acceptance has been sent out to individual authors and invited for full paper submission. The deadline for full paper submission is February 8, 2007 (Thu), your timely submission will be very much appreciated. The Sixth China Urban Housing Conference is the second consecutive year we give out the “China Urban Housing Conference Best Paper Award”. The award is jointly presented by the Committee of Science & Technology, Ministry of Construction, China and the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Certificates will be presented in our Closing Ceremony. Please be reminded that the review process and selection of the award will only base on the full paper.

The initial phase of paper abstract review is completed. Based on the feedback results from the Review Panel, the Conference Secretariat has gradually informed those authors whose abstract is accepted for full paper submission. Since this year’s Conference preparation is under very tight schedule, We sincerely wished to ask the authors begin to prepare as soon as possible if they are invited to submit full paper. Deadline of full paper submission is February 8, 2007 (Thu).

Meanwhile, please be reminded that review process and selection of the “The China Urban Housing Conference Best Paper” will only base on the full paper submitted. Therefore if the full papers can be submitted on or before the deadline, that would be great assistance to ease our work.

The final list of accepted paper abstract will be announced on the Conference Website in next few days. The Conference Secretariat will send out the official Notice of Acceptance and comments to authors by email individually. Due to earthquake off the southeast coast of Taiwan on December 26, 2006, the Internet and tel-communication services for South-east Asian Regions, Europe and USA are severely interrupted. The connection to our Online Paper Submission System and Paper Review System is also affected. The Conference Secretariat is writing to inform you that the Notification of Acceptance will be postponed to January 15, 2007 (Mon). ACCEPTED abstract authors will be notified through email and the accepted abstracts will be listed on the Conference Website.

Based on the above situation, preparation of the full paper will be shorten (Deadline for full paper submission is postponed to February 8, 2007, Thu). We wished to seek your kind consideration and cooperation to submit your paper on or before the deadline. Please accept our apology for any inconvenience caused.
